Europe at the CEFPPA

The variety of tastes and cultures has led the CEFPPA to integrate a European dimension into its training courses by welcoming European Union citizens. The CEFPPA contributes to the construction of a gastronomic Europe based on excellence.

The acknowledgement of international qualifications is essential to ensure job mobility within Europe.
The CEFPPA develops European training modules, proposes exchanges to young professionals, promotes the exchange of trainers as part of Community projects and of a cooperation with partners from the European Union.

Naming its main hall Europe Square, the CEFPPA has always considered its European vocation a priority in professional training in the hotel and catering industry.

The European adventure started in Decembre 1990, with the twinning between Strasbourg and Dresden (Germany). We can, for example, mention that we have trained more than 100 youngsters coming from European countries, who graduated, brilliantly for most of them, in French diplomas such as the Certificat d’Aptitude Professionnelle (CAP), the Brevet d’Etudes Professionnelles (BEP), the Baccalaureat Professionnel in restaurant service, the Brevet Professionnel in cooking, the Mention Complémentaire in wine-waiting or in hotel keeping, or the Brevet de Technicien Supérieur in hotel trade, as well as in culinary arts.

Furthermore, taking the European dimension into account is essential in the Greater Strasbourg, where European institutions like the Council of Europe, the Human Rights Building and the European Parliament (alternately with Brussels) are located.
